"Video-Conference System for E-Learning"
Management Summary
The aim is the program InConf for simultaneous video/audio/text connections between many participants over the internet. The conference is controlled by one participant, the so called "Main-Participant", who starts the conference. The main purpose of the program is to create a “Virtual Classroom”. At the same time all participants/students see a “Virtual Blackboard” where the teacher and the others can point their presantations (PowerPoint, video, audio, picture, live drafts). The program InConf is designed to host multiple conferences (multiple “Virtual Classrooms”) with a huge number of participants at the same time in the whole world.
Features of InConf
- simultaneous (bidirectional) video and audio connections between the participants
- connections without time delay
- all conferences are encrypted
- "virtual board" as blackboard and "real" room at the same time where the "main-participant" will post his presentations and also every participants who participates
- "main-participant" controls the communication between him and the others. He can allow talk in groups (group talk), only between himself and one person (personal talk),the talk between him and the whole room (public talk) and the talk between him and some selected people (select talk)
- meetings will be digital archived for registered users who missed the live connection or for repeating
- participation will be only for registered people with a password
- the license for a conference sessions or a complete course will be given of a license manager if a user has registered and has paid for the session (optional)
- internet portal for registration, log in, client software download and other services
- participants can be everywhere in the world they need only their registration, a PC, a Webcam with an integrated microphone, sound and an internet connection (not high bandwidth required, minimum isdn) and the client software provided of “InConf”
- InConf is designed for minimum technical possibilities as well as for HDTV conferences
